영화제에서 소개된 내용이네요^^ Kong Mi Yeun decided to film this documentary when she realised that, for her generation, war was not something which happened to other people. Battlefield Calling is the story of a group of Korean soldiers and how their views are changed by the conflicts they witness. The documentary brings two apparently unconnected realities together. Firstly, Palestinians who see their land as a permanent battlefield. Secondly, soldiers posted in Iraq discuss the conflict taking place there. Portrayals of a belligerent society as questioned as it is omnipresent. Won the Audience's Award at the Seoul Independent Film Festival. (PUNTO DE VISTA 2008)

공미연감독은 동시대를 살아가는 사람들에게 있어서 '전쟁'이 다른 누군가에게만 일어나는 것이 아니라는 사실을 깨달았을 때 이 다큐멘터리를 영화화 하기로 결심했다. '전장에서 나는'은 한국군 집단과 그들이 목격한 '분쟁'을 통해 어떻게 그들의 시각이 바뀌는 지에 대한 이야기이다. 이 다큐에서는 두 개의 무관한 현실들을 동시에 보여주고 있는데, 그 첫번째가 전쟁터가 되어버린 그들의 땅을 지켜볼 수 밖에 없는 팔레스타인 사람들의 이야기이고 다른 하나가 이라크에 배치된 군인들이 전쟁이 벌어지고 있는 그곳에 대해 각기 다른 생각들을 이야기 하는 부분이다. 이 영화는 우리 주변에서 일상화된 전쟁중독 사회에 대한 초상이다. '전장에서 나는'은 2007년 서울독립영화제에서 관객상을 수상했다.
